इंग्लैंड के सामने जीत के लिए 176 रन का लक्ष्य

लंदन। आइसीसी चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के पहले सेमीफाइनल मुकाबले में दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ इंग्लैंड ने टॉस जीतकर पहले गेंदबाजी करने का फैसला किया है। इंग्लैंड ने ग्रीम स्वान और टिम ब्रेसनन को अंतिम एकादश से बाहर रखा है। दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बल्लेबाजों ने इंग्लैंड के गेंदबाजों के सामने घुटने टेक दिए। दक्षिण अफ्रीकी टीम महज 175 रन बनाकर आउट हो गई। दक्षिण अफ्रीका की शुरुआत अच्छी नहीं रही । उसके सलामी बल्लेबाज कोलिन इनग्राम (0 रन), हाशिम अमला (1 रन) बनाकर चलते बने। इसके बाद रोबिन पीटरसन (30 रन) और फाफ डू प्लेसिस (26 रन) ने विकेट पर टिकने का प्रयास किया लेकिन वे असफल रहे। एबी डीविलियर्स (0 रन), जेपी डूमुनी (3 रन) को सस्ते में आउट कर इंग्लैंड के गेंदबाजों ने दक्षिण अफ्रीकी बल्लेबाजों पर दबाब बढ़ा दिया। डेविड मिलर (नाबाद 56 रन) ने मैक्लारेन (1), क्रिस मौरिस (3), रोरी केल्विेल्इट (43 रन) के साथ साझेदारी कर टीम के स्कोर को 175 तक पहुंचाया। दक्षिण अफ्रीका की ओर से सोतसोबे (0) आउट होने वाले आखिर बल्लेबाज रहे।

दो लड़कियों के साथ पकड़ा गया था श्रीसंत, अभिनेता भी था साथ

नई दिल्ली। आईपीएल 6 स्पॉट फिक्सिंग मामले की जांच में एक और सनसनीखेज खुलासा हुआ है। मुंबई में श्रीसंत की गिरफ्तारी के समय गाड़ी में उसके साथ मलयालम अभिनेता राजीव पिल्लई भी था। यही नहीं, दोनों के साथ दो मॉडल लड़कियां भी थीं। दिल्ली पुलिस के एक अधिकारी के अनुसार, श्रीसंत के दोस्त जीजू जनार्दन को राजीव पिल्लई की मदद से ही पकड़ा गया था। मलयालम अभिनेता के लिए राहत की बात यह है कि दिल्ली पुलिस ने उन्हें क्लीन चिट दे दी है। उनका स्पॉट फिक्सिंग से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।

15 मई को राजस्थान रॉयल्स तथा मुंबई इंडियंस टीम के बीच खेले गए मैच के बाद रात में श्रीसंत और जीजू अलग-अलग घूमने निकले थे। दोनों के साथ लड़कियां थीं। श्रीसंत को पकड़ने के बाद पुलिस टीम ने उसके साथ मौजूद अभिनेता राजीव पिल्लई से जीजू जनार्दन को फोन कराया कि वह जल्दी होटल (इंटर कॉन्टिनेंटल) पहुंचे। स्पेशल सेल अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जीजू को इससे कुछ शक हुआ। उसने तत्काल ही अभिषेक शुक्ला को फोन कर दिया। विशेष पुलिस आयुक्त एसएन श्रीवास्तव ने बताया जीजू के कहने पर अभिषेक ने उसके (जीजू) व श्रीसंत के कमरे से स्पॉट फिक्सिंग के लिए मिले सट्टेबाजी में मिले 10 लाख रुपये में से बचे 5 लाख रुपये हटाए थे। हालांकि श्रीसंत के साथ जीजू को भी पुलिस टीम ने उसी रात दबोच लिया था।

अधिकारियों के अनुसार श्रीसंत ने 5 लाख रुपये शॉपिंग में खर्च कर दिए थे। वहीं अभिषेक से मालूम किया जा रहा है कि उसके पैनकार्ड पर श्रीसंत ने अब तक कुल कितनी खरीददारी की है। श्रीसंत अधिकतर बड़ी खरीददारी में अभिषेक का पैन कार्ड प्रयोग करता था।

प्रॉपर्टी डीलिंग तो बहाना था

आईपीएल खिलाड़ी अजीत चंदीला से जयपुर में मुलाकात करने वाले नितिन जैन व विनोद शर्मा उर्फ मोनू पेशे से प्रॉपर्टी डीलर हैं। पूर्वी दिल्ली के कड़कड़डूमा इलाके में दोनों ने लक्ष्मी एसोसिएट्स नाम से आफिस भी खोल रखा है। अधिकारियों के अनुसार नितिन की लोनी (गाजियाबाद) में पॉलीपैक प्लास्टिक की फैक्टरी भी है। दोनों सट्टेबाज हैं। उनका काम लोगों से सट्टे पर दांव लगवाना था।

मैदान पर कैलिस ने खोया आपा, अंपायर से बुरी तरह भिड़े

पुणे। कोलकाता नाइटराइडर्स और पुणे वॉरियर्स के बीच गुरुवार को खेले गए आईपीएल के 56वें मुकाबले के दौरान दर्शकों को एक ऐसा नजारा देखने को मिला, जिससे वे पूरी तरह से हैरान हो गए। पुणे वॉरियर्स की पारी के तीसरे ओवर की पहली गेंद पर जैक्स कैलिस एक फैसले के बाद अंपायर सुधीर असनानी से बुरी तरह भिड़ गए।

कैलिस को उस वक्त गुस्सा आ गया जब उनके द्वारा की गई रनआउट की अपील पर तीसरे अंपायर ने बल्लेबाज के हक में फैसला सुनाया। इस फैसले के बाद कैलिस भड़क उठे और मैदानी अंपायर सुधीर असनानी से बहस करने लगे कि क्या वे धोखेबाज हैं? क्या वे झूठ बोल रहे हैं? दरअसल, तीसरे ओवर की पहली गेंद उथप्पा ने एक शॉट खेला। कैलिस के अनुसार गेंद उनके जूते को छूती हुई दूसरी छोर के विकेट पर लग गई। उस वक्त दूसरी छोर पर खड़े बल्लेबाज एरोन फिंच क्रीज से काफी बाहर थे, लेकिन सुबूत की कमी की वजह से तीसरे अंपायर ने फैसला फिंच के हक में सुनाया और उन्हें नॉट आउट करार दिया।

इस फैसले से भड़के कैलिस काफी देर तक अंपायर से बहसबाजी करते रहे। थोड़ी देर में कोलकाता के सभी खिलाड़ी वहां पहुंच गए। कप्तान गंभीर भी कैलिस की मदद करते हुए अंपायर से भिड़ गए, लेकिन असनानी ने कैलिस के कंधे पर हाथ रखते हुए उन्हें गेंदबाजी करने की सलाह दी। फैसले से बौखलाए कैलिस ने उस वक्त राहत की सांस ली, जब उन्होंने ठीक दो गेंद बाद एरोन फिंच को बोल्ड कर दिया। इसके बाद उन्होंने दोबारा अंपायर असनानी को घूरकर देखा। इस मुकाबले में कोलकाता नाइटराइडर्स ने पुणे वॉरियर्स को 46 रनों से हराया।

इससे पहले आईपीएल 6 के दौरान ही किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब के प्रवीण कुमार लेग अंपायर से नो बॉल नहीं देने के कारण भिड़ गए थे। वे उनके पास जाकर उनपर नो बॉल देने का दबाव डालने लगे थे। यह सही है कि आईपीएल के इस सीजन में काफी खराब अंपायरिंग देखने को मिली है, लेकिन खिलाड़ियों का अंपायर से भिड़ जाना क्रिकेट की आचार संहिता के खिलाफ है।
